About the Tesla Intelligence Briefing
Updated .
The Tesla Intelligence Briefing is an independent publication for Tesla owners. It aims to make one car safer, cheaper and more predictable to live with, through same-day checks with a stated verification step, rather than rumours, stock talk or hype. It is published as part of Your Essential Insights, no individual author is named because none is claimed, and it is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc.
Who publishes this
This site is published by the operator of Your Essential Insights
(youressentialinsights.com) at the /tesla/ address. There are no staff
biographies, bylines or professional credentials on these pages, and that is deliberate:
no individual is named because none is claimed. The publisher is the site and its
operator, and the way to reach them is the contact page.
Who this is for
Guides are tagged by owner profile, so you can see which advice applies to you:
- Profile A — the daily commuter with home charging.
- Profile B — the owner who is apartment-based or depends on public charging.
- Profile C — the road-trip driver.
- Profile D — the driver in cold or extreme weather.
- Profile E — the performance-oriented owner.
Many owners fit more than one profile. The test for every sentence is the same: does this make a Tesla safer, cheaper or more reliable today? If not, it does not belong here.
How this site works
Honest limits matter more than reassurance, so here is the whole process.
- Where the information comes from. Public manuals and official sources: the Tesla owner’s manual and support pages, NHTSA recall data, and US National Weather Service alerts. The daily briefing is built from that public data, fetched fresh each morning.
- What is checked, and by what. Scripts check page structure, links, titles and descriptions, dates, and that internal links point at pages that exist. These are mechanical checks. They do not confirm that a statement is true.
- What is not checked. No automotive professional, lawyer or financial adviser reviews these pages. Tesla has not reviewed them either.
- Accuracy is not guaranteed. Errors are possible. No error rate or agreement rate has been measured yet, so none is claimed. A figure the site cannot verify is written Not reported rather than estimated.
- Worked examples use hypothetical numbers. They show the arithmetic so you can substitute your own values; they are not measurements and not Tesla data.
- Corrections. Reports sent through the contact page are prioritised. A fixed page carries an updated review date.
- Not Tesla guidance. Nothing here is official Tesla guidance. Your owner’s manual always wins, and where this site and the manual disagree, follow the manual.
Every guide uses the same layout: a short quotable answer under the heading, steps written as action, why it helps and how to verify it, a plain-words explanation of the mechanism, a worked example, a visible last-reviewed date, and links to the official sources the page relies on.
Our editorial rules
- No hype. Plain claims, with the limits stated.
- No rumours. Unreleased features and speculation are outside the remit.
- No stock talk. This is not investment commentary.
- No personality commentary. The subject is the car, not the people around it.
- No invention. No made-up figures, quotes, studies or people. Where a figure matters and cannot be verified, the page says Not reported or sends you to the value in your own car or manual.
- Driver assistance is assistance. Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (Supervised) need an attentive driver who is ready to take over. No page implies otherwise.
- Version-sensitive material is dated. Menus and software behaviour change between releases, so pages carry a review date and link the official source.
How this is funded
Today there is no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsorship on this site. Nothing you read here is paid placement, and no manufacturer, charging network or retailer reviews pages before publication. If that ever changes, this page and the terms will be updated first and any such link or placement will be clearly marked.
