Why we exist

Modern beauty is overwhelming. Every week there's a new ingredient, a new device, a new "must-have" serum. Most of it is repackaged. Some of it is genuinely useful. Almost none of it comes with the context shoppers actually need.

We started Skin & Beauty Daily because the gap between what dermatology research already knows and what the beauty aisle tells you keeps widening. Our job is to close it — clearly, briefly, and with our reasoning on the page.

What we cover

  • Ingredients. What they are, what they actually do, the evidence behind them, who should avoid them, and how to combine them.
  • Reviews. Products evaluated against a public methodology — ingredients, evidence, skin-type fit, irritation risk, value, and alternatives.
  • Routines. Real-world templates for beginners, sensitive skin, acne, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, and barrier repair.
  • Concerns. Guides built around what readers actually search for: acne, dryness, redness, aging, menopause.
  • Beauty tech. LED, RF, microcurrent, AI skin analysis, home lasers — what's evidence-backed and what's marketing.
  • Deals. Curated, transparent, no-hype affiliate picks during real sales.

How we work

  • We read primary research where it exists and label its strength: strong, moderate, emerging, or weak.
  • We name brands and products. We name alternatives, including drugstore ones, when they make sense.
  • We disclose affiliate relationships on every page that has them. Editorial selection is not for sale.
  • We avoid medical claims. For diagnosis-grade conditions we say plainly: see a board-certified dermatologist.

What we won't do

  • Sponsored coverage disguised as editorial.
  • Fear-based language about ingredients with strong safety records.
  • Influencer-style hyperbole — "miracle," "skin-changing," "best ever."
  • Recommend products we wouldn't use ourselves or hand to a family member.

The promise, in one line

Help readers make smarter skincare and beauty decisions — with the evidence, trade-offs, and disclosures on the table.
