Cookies & GDPR consent
Seller Signal sets no cookies, and today it loads no analytics, advertising or other third-party scripts. The only thing stored in your browser is one localStorage entry that remembers your answer to the cookie dialog. The dialog still asks you to choose, and the two choices are equal: “Accept required” gives you the full site.
Everything stored in your browser
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
yei-consent |
localStorage (first-party, never transmitted) | Remembers whether you chose “Accept required” or “Accept all”, so the dialog does not reappear on every page. One answer applies to every publication on youressentialinsights.com, because they share one web address. | Until you clear it: change your choice with “Cookie choices” (below), or clear site data in your browser. |
That is the whole list. No optional service (analytics, advertising, embedded video) is active on Seller Signal today. If one is added, it will load only after you choose “Accept all”, and this table and the privacy policy will be updated to name it and the cookies it sets.
How the cookie dialog works
- On your first visit a dialog appears in the centre of the page, over a dimmed background. You choose before using the site.
- The two buttons are the same size and weight: Accept required and Accept all. Accept required gives you access to everything on the site; nothing is held back for people who choose it.
- Your choice is stored as
yei-consent(“denied” for Accept required, “granted” for Accept all). Optional services start switched off and are loaded only when it is “granted”. Seller Signal has none today, so the two choices currently behave the same. - If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, it is treated as “Accept required” and the dialog is not shown.
- The page text is in the HTML whether or not JavaScript runs. With JavaScript off, no dialog appears and nothing optional can load.
Change or withdraw your choice
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Use the Cookie choices link here or in the footer of any page to open the dialog and choose again.
Legal basis
Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, non-essential storage and tracking require prior opt-in consent, which the dialog is built to obtain before any optional service loads. The yei-consent entry is needed to remember your choice and is not used for tracking.
