Amazon's FBA holiday peak fulfillment fees took effect October 15, 2026, averaging $0.32 per unit through January 14, 2027, on top of the 3.5% surcharge. No other new seller-facing fee, policy or recall item was verified today; Texas seller-fee tax relief remains pending.
Good morning, sellers! Welcome to October 15, 2026's edition. Today: FBA holiday peak fees take effect, and nothing else new has been verified. Let's dive in…
Data gathered at 6:10 AM ET, October 15, 2026.
This is a quiet news day. The Seller Central announcements page, the Amazon corporate news page and the CPSC recalls page were each checked this morning and none carries a new seller-facing item. Nothing is padded to hide that.
1. Top Story of the Day
FBA holiday peak fees are in effect from today
What happened: FBA holiday peak fulfillment fees apply from October 15, 2026 through January 14, 2027, averaging $0.32 per unit, on top of the existing 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge. The surcharge applies to FBA, Remote Fulfillment with FBA, Multi-Channel Fulfillment and Buy with Prime. The window, average and per-tier examples were covered October 8, 13 and 14. This is the status change: the fees now apply to units processed from today.
Why it matters: The fee is no longer a forecast. Any unit shipped under the new schedule carries the surcharge, so listings priced for pre-peak margins are now absorbing it.
Action items:
- Check today's orders in the fee preview report against your expected per-unit fees for your top ASINs.
- Decide by tier whether to raise prices or accept lower margin through January 14, 2027.

2. Policy and Compliance Updates
- Texas: As of Foley & Lardner's October 5 analysis, the proposed amendment to Rule 3.330, which would remove marketplace seller fees from taxable data processing services, had not yet been published in the Texas Register, and a 30-day comment period follows publication. The current tax continues to apply until the amendment takes effect. First covered October 7. (Foley & Lardner)
- CPSC: The recalls page's newest entries are still dated October 8, 2026, already reported October 9. (CPSC)
