Good morning, sellers! Welcome to September 29, 2026's edition. Today: FBA Export adds more than 175 destinations and switches enrolled sellers on during Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon's FBM enforcement moved from the account to the offer a month ago, and four categories get new dangerous-goods questions in October. Let's dive in…

1. Top Story of the Day

FBA Export adds more than 175 destinations, and enrolled sellers are switched on October 6

What happened: Amazon announced on September 28, 2026 that FBA Export is expanding to more than 175 new destinations. Sellers already enrolled are enabled eight days later — October 6, 2026 — and the rollout reaches all affected accounts within 30 days, October 28, 2026. Restrictions a seller set previously carry over automatically. Sellers who want the new destinations open must edit the Export Settings page; sellers who do nothing have them enabled by default.

Why it matters: October 6 is day one of Prime Big Deal Days. Enrolled sellers get a wider export footprint on the quarter's highest-traffic morning without opting in — the default is exposure. FBA Export ships domestically-stocked FBA units to international addresses, so the new destinations draw on the same US inventory pool sellers staged for the event.

Expert take: The opt-out direction is the part to plan around. An earlier expansion added 136 destinations; this one is larger and lands on a worse date. A unit sold into a newly-opened destination during the event is one no longer available to a domestic buyer, and the two are not interchangeable — export orders carry different delivery expectations and return economics. The inherited-restriction rule cuts the other way: sellers who already excluded regions keep those exclusions, so the most exposed accounts are the ones that never touched the settings page.

2. Amazon Policy & Program Updates

Account Health

Amazon moved FBM enforcement from the account to the offer, effective August 31, 2026. The Seller Central announcement reads: "Starting August 31, 2026, if any of your FBM offers put your Account Health at risk, we'll temporarily deactivate that offer." Four metrics are evaluated — Cancellation Rate, Late Shipment Rate, Order Defect Rate and On-Time Delivery Rate. A warning email precedes deactivation, and deactivated offers surface in Account Health under Other Policy Violations.

The policy has been in force four weeks; coverage only appeared September 27, 2026, which is why it reads as new. What Amazon did not publish is the operative part — no offer-level thresholds, no minimum-order safeguard, no stated duration for a "temporary" deactivation, and nothing on advertising spend while an offer is dark. A low-volume SKU can breach a rate on a handful of orders, and losing one listing rather than the catalog is the better trade only if it comes back. 3. False Alarms & Noise Filter

Claim: Amazon unBoxed 2026 has announced Campaign Manager, Creative Agent and Ads Agent.

Status: Debunked.

What we know: All three are unBoxed 2025 launches recirculated as 2026 news. Amazon's own page for Creative Agent carries the header "unBoxed 2025 | Launch announcement" and is dated November 11, 2025. The widely-surfacing "Key Announcements for Advertisers" article is a preview, not a recap — marked last updated June 17, 2026, and hedged throughout with "is expected to be" and "will likely." unBoxed 2026 runs September 28-30, 2026 at Moscone West, and that article's own schedule puts Day 1 on September 29 — today. No verified 2026 product announcement existed as of 6:05 AM ET. (Amazon Ads)

Same pattern in logistics: a Prime Air expansion to nearly 500 US cities circulated on seller forums September 28 as new. It was announced August 19, 2026. (Amazon)

4. Compliance & Account Health Alerts

Four category groups get new dangerous-goods questions on October 26

Amazon announced September 25, 2026: "Starting October 26, 2026, if you create new listings or edit existing listings for select categories, you'll be required to answer new compliance questions to help us identify dangerous goods, enable more ship methods, and reduce unnecessary disposal costs and fees." Four groups are named — refrigerators, air conditioners and freezers on refrigerant gas; shock absorbers and suspension lift supports on the shock-absorbing mechanism; markers and writing instruments on ink properties; and pool and spa water treatment products on chemical composition and packaging.

The trigger is the detail. The questions fire on edits, not only new listings, so a routine title or bullet change to a long-standing ASIN in one of these groups pulls it into the flow. Amazon ties complete answers to listings going live without delays, and October 26 sits inside the Black Friday inbound window, so a stalled edit costs most when the requirement starts. The FTC asks whether platforms should answer for impersonation ads

The FTC opened an advance notice of proposed rulemaking on September 24, 2026, vote 2-0, asking whether its Rule on Impersonation of Government and Businesses should reach platforms themselves — vetting advertisers, monitoring ads and removing confirmed scam listings. Consumers filed more than 1 million imposter scam complaints in 2025, with $2.1 billion in losses traced to social platforms. Comments close 60 days after Federal Register publication; the notice did not name the date. Brand owners whose listings get impersonated are the intended beneficiaries. (FTC)
